Samira and Chad were married on September 14th,2013 at Morven Park in Leesburg, VA. Samira's Persian culture was highlighted with the ceremony décor as well as the food options for her guests. Their ceremony took place around the reflecting pond with the reception in the carriage house courtyard.  After Samira and Chad'straditional Persian ceremony, her guests headed up to the mansion for the cocktail hour where her guests enjoyed hors d'oeuvres followed by an outdoor seated dinner at long estate tables decorated in blush pink, ivory, and greens under string lights over the courtyard.

Samira shared some more details about her wedding below:

Personal anecdotes about the gown:  The dress had an Alencon lace bodice with sweetheart neckline and a soft tulle skirt with a horsehair hem, accented by a moire ribbon at the waist. The dress was extremely versatile with a removable skirt that transitions into a fitted mini lace dress. Elegant for the ceremony then sweet with a little hint of spice for the reception!

What inspired your wedding style and how you planned your wedding? I knew from the very start what style and colors I want for our wedding. Green: my love for succulents. Ivory: the organic lace pattern on my dress.  Blush Pink: the main color to create the soft and romantic feeling by using it in different textures and tones throughout. A hint of Purple: as an accent color.  We both really wanted an outdoor wedding with a beautiful landscape to compliment our wedding and for everyone to enjoy. I would call our wedding style romantic and intimate. We tried incorporating both of our cultures (Persian + American) throughout the wedding.  And, as an interior designer, I can't help but be very detail-oriented. That led me to pay attention to the smallest things and to have everything consistent with the theme. I have to note that Chad has a passion for design as well and helped me throughout the entire planning process. He also did all the lighting for the reception area. None of this would have happened without the help of everyone involved.
